Everything you need to create 300g (10 ounces) of the Basic Water-In-Silicone Serum shown in our Formulary. All you'll need to provide is distilled water.

The Basic Water-in-Silicone Serum Kit is made without actives or specialty ingredients.  It is designed to give you practical experience with the technique of making water-in-silicone emulsions.  When you're comfortable with the process, you can substitute water-soluble actives for some of the distilled water in the formula and start to create your own custom blends!

You'll receive:

  • 30g (1.0 oz) Dipropylene Glycol

    Basic Water-in-Silicone Serum

We've created a video so you can see the mixing process for working with Lotioncrafter Serum SE.**  We've used a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer with a whisk attachment.  You can also use a hand mixer with whisk or beaters attached. The very slow (trickle) addition of the water portion (aka phase) of the formula to the fast moving silicone phase in the mixing bowl is key to its successful creation.

Mixing Process for Serum SE Formulations

** This video was specifically made for our Soothing and Clarifying Facial Serum formula made with Lotioncrafter Serum SE.  It contains Hydrolyzed Oats in the water phase so the water phase is TAN in color in the video.  It would be colorless without it.
