Natural Hair Conditioning Rinse
A simple formula to make a naturally-derived hair conditioner – only five ingredients total! Use this formulation as a base to customize with your own additives by substituting a portion of the distilled water with your favorite hydrosol or botanical extracts or use this effective conditioner as-is. This formulation contains biodegradable esterquat, is PEG-free and complies with the COSMOS standard.

- Combine all Phase A ingredients in water and heat to 85°C, continue mixing until all ingredients are dissolved.
- Homogenize with a high shear mixer for 30 seconds.
- Allow to cool with continued stirring. When the emulsion is below 80°C, solubilize the preservative in glycerin and add to the emulsion.
- Add fragrance when emulsion is below 40°C.
- Homogenize a second time at 30°C for 30 seconds to increase viscosity.
Makes approximately 500 grams or 17.64 ounces of conditioner.
INCI: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Benzyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Caprylate and Glyceryl Undecylenate, and Fragrance (optional).
