Satin Soft Salt Scrub

Here's a satin soft salt scrub made with Lotioncrafter BTMS for its emulsifying and skin conditioning benefits and exfoliating salt to slough off dead skin cells to reveal fresh, glowing skin. You can make this scrub with sugar in place of the salt, adjusting the amount of sugar, if necessary to obtain a smooth blend. Phenonip or Optiphen preservatives are used for preservation in this formulation.

  1. Combine Phase A and heat to 170°F (or sufficient to melt and combine oils, butter and wax). Remove from heat.
  1. Add Phase A ingredients to Phase B with mixing.
  1. Place vessel in cool water bath and continue mixing until temperature drops to about 80°F and oils no longer come to the top of the mix when you stop mixing.
  1. Add Phase C fragrance and mix well.
  1. Scoop into jars. Mix will continue to solidify over 24 hours.
