Bayberry Wax is an all-natural wax obtained from the fruit of the bayberry shrub, which is native to Central and South America. Bayberry Wax consists predominantly of triglycerides with C-16 carbon chain lengths and feels hard, brittle, and fatty to the touch. It is compatible with a wide range of raw materials and can be used as a replacement for Shea or Cocoa butter to create more stable formulations. It has a lower peroxide value than more common butters, reducing rancidity and increasing stability.

Applications
  • Lip balms and lotion bars
  • Emulsions (oil-in-water and water-in-oil)
  • Thickener for anhydrous, oil-based serums

INCI: Myrica Cerifera (Bayberry) Fruit Wax
