Antiaging Facial Moisturizer for Mature Skin

Our Antiaging Facial Moisturizer for Mature Skin harnesses the power of Gladback, Decorinyl, Trylagen PCB and Syn-Hycan CB to offer a superb moisturizer for mature skin. Loss of skin firmness and thinning of skin are typical of aging skin. Gladback is a multifunctional active created to increase skin thickness, radiance and microcirculation. Syn-Hycan CB helps to fight sagging skin by boosting Hyaluronan content and increasing the expression of decorin and lumican. Decorinyl mimics the sequences of decorin that bind to collagen fibrils, improving firmness and elasticity of the skin. Trylagen boosts the synthesis of collagen types I, III and IV, helping to compensate for decreased production as we age, organizing collagen fibers and helping to protect collagen from degradation.  These actives are combined with Sodium PCA for moisturizing and Meadowfoam and Argan oils for emollience.  Use this moisturizer on the face, neck and décolletage.   It is offered in two sizes – a 150g (5oz) batch and a larger 1000g (33.34 oz) batch which is easier to homogenize with a stick blender.  Homogenizing the batch will create a creamier formulation.  If using a stick blender, care should be taken to avoid entraining a lot of air into the mixture (keep the head of the mixer deep in the formulation). These formulations are based on the weight of these ingredients.  Please use a scale that can measure these amounts.

Antiaging Facial Moisturizer for Mature Skin

Formula 

1. Combine Phase A ingredients, blending with wire whisk or mini mixer until ingredients are homogenous. Set aside.

2. Combine Phase B ingredients, mixing until Xanthan Gum is evenly distributed in Sodium PCA and lump free.

3. Immediately add Phase A to Phase B ingredients, mixing with mini mixer or emersion blender until mixture is of uniform viscosity.

4. Mix Phase C ingredients in vessel large enough to hold entire formulation (allowing for room to mix). Mix until uniform.

5. Pour Phase A/B into Phase C and mix until uniform.  Homogenize mixture to create a creamier texture.

Depending on batch selected, makes approximately 150 grams (5 ounces) or 1000 grams (33.34) ounces of lotion.
