CoQ10 Moisturizer with Polypeptide Complex

EmulThix™ is used in this formulation to create a simple, but effective facial moisturizer.  Lotioncrafter Wrinkle Defense Complex is incorporated to minimize the appearance of fine lines, as are Silicone Microspheres for optical blurring of wrinkles to give the appearance of smoother skin. Squalane and Abyssinian Oil provide light emollience. Coenzyme Q10, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate and Vitamin E Acetate combine to battle free radicals.  As with other cold process formulations, if you have concerns about the quality of your distilled water or other water soluble ingredients, bring them to 180°F, hold for 20 minutes, then cool to room temperature before proceeding.

Formula

1. Combine Phase A ingredients in mixing vessel and set aside.

2. Combine  Phase B ingredients and stir to wet powder.

3. Combine  Phase C ingredients and mix.

4. Using a stand or hand mixer on low to moderate speed, add Phase B ingredients to Phase A and mix until uniform. Add Phase C ingredients to the Phase A/B mixing vessel in a slow stream. Once all of the water is incorporated, mix briefly until the emulsion is smooth and uniform.

5. Add fragrance, if desired.
