Simple Hair Conditioning Rinse
A simple formula to make hair conditioner – only six ingredients total! Use this formulation as a base to customize with your own additives by substituting a portion of the distilled water with your favorite hydrosol or botanical extracts or use this effective conditioner as-is. This formulation contains biodegradable esterquat. Check under the Natural Formulations section of the Formulary for a PEG-free alternative to this example.

- Combine all Phase A ingredients in water and heat to 85°C, continue mixing until all ingredients are dissolved.
- Homogenize with a high shear mixer for 30 seconds.
- Allow to cool with continued stirring. Add Phase B ingredients when emulsion is below 40°C.
Makes approximately 500 grams or 17.65 ounces of conditioner.
INCI: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Benzyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, and Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance (optional).
