Exfoliating Body Scrub

All Natural, Instant Emulsification. This simple scrub formulation is filled with light feeling emollient oils that can easily be substituted with other oils based on preference. The Exfoliating Body Scrub is a thick gel texture with a subtle exfoliant of your choice, but we prefer cranberry seed or crushed walnut shells. Use this scrub in the bath or shower, and as a body or facial scrub – it is gentle and light enough to use anywhere on the body!

Formula

1. Slowly add SurfPro Surfactin to glycerin with high speed agitation (i.e. mini-mixer) until uniformly incorporated.
2. In a separate container, gently heat Phase B to about 40-45°C (104-113°F) until all ingredients are melted and mix until uniform. Cool to ambient temperature.
3. VERY SLOWLY add Phase B ingredients to Phase A with high speed mixing until smooth and uniform. Oil phase must be added slowly; if oils start to pool, stop addition and mix until incorporated. Increase mixing speed as viscosity increases and using sweeping motion when necessary. It should form a highly viscous, clear amber colored gel.
4. Add Phase C after the clear, amber gel has formed and mix until uniformly dispersed.

Makes 100g (3.43 oz) of product.
