Adventures in Cosmetic Chemistry
Volume 9, 2018
by Susan Barclay Nichols
e-Zine (PDF, 925 KB)
You asked, Susan is sharing! Here are some of her favorite formulas from her classes! Some are fairly straightforward and great for beginners; others are more complicated and suitable for those who want to take their formulating to the next level. You will use all kinds of butters, oils, silicone substitutes, emulsifiers, surfactants, and more. She's even included never before seen formulas she taught at Windy Point Soap using the LuxGlide silicone replacements, and an updated deodorant formula using sodium stearate. If you’ve ever considered taking a class with Susan, I hope this e-zine will give you an idea of what it might be like to spend a couple of hours formulating fun products like these!
