The olive tree, Olea europaea L., is a long-lived evergreen tree belonging to the Oleaceae family. In skincare, Olive Leaf Extract can slow the appearance of aging, purify and nourish the skin by calming irritation and reducing redness, as well as repairing damage, hydrating, enhancing circulation and stimulative growth of new cells. Olive leaf extract also works to protect your skin against harsh weather conditions and environmental stressors and pollutants. Applied to hair, Olive leaf extract is an excellent shine and moisture booster, as well as working to smooth out the strands of hair.
