TRIcare® CG is solvent-free, thanks to a patented green chemistry process that achieves a 100% atom conversion and utilizes a biodegradable catalyst. TRIcare® CG has been shown to reduce sebum, skin redness and pore size. It is active against bacteria that causes acne and dandruff and a prolonged reduction in appearance of dandruff has been shown after use. TRIcare® CG is successfully passed the test procedure according to the standards for both MyMicrobiome Standard 18.11 Face / Body and MyMicrobiome Standard 19.20 Scalp and is certified microbiome-friendly.
As some consumers move away from Caprylyl Glycol due to potential irritation, TRIcare® CG delivers comparable preservation efficacy without the irritation risk. It is compatible with sensitive skin types. This ingredient has a Natural Origin Index of 0.63.

Formulating with TRIcare® CG - Tips & Tricks
Formulation Guide
For emulsions: Add TRIcare® CG to the heated water phase at 75 - 85ºC. Solubility reduced below pH 5, solubility can be improved by addition of emulsifiers or solvents like glycerin. Adjust final pH to 5.5 - 6.0 for best preservative efficacy and formulation stability.
For rinse-off formulations: Add TRIcare® CG to the heated water phase after addition of surfactants at 75 - 85ºC. Solubility can be improved by addition of solvents like glycerin.
For gels: Add TRIcare® CG to the heated water phase at 75 - 85ºC after addition of carbomer and before neutralization.
Formulation should be kept between pH range 3.0-6.5. Commonly used in conjunction with phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, or hydroxyacetophenone.
Recommended Usage Level: 0.5 - 2%
Appearance: Free flowing or agglomerated powder/Crystals
Solubility: Insoluble in water; Soluble in polar substances like 2-phenxyethanol, CCTG, etc.
