Ectoin is a pure, water soluble, biosynthetic active ingredient that has deep-hydration benefits for hair and skin care, as well as barrier protection and repairing effects, helping the skin resist against external stressors. Ectoin is a highly stable amino acid derivative made by bacterial fermentation. Ecotin can be widely used in personal care products for stress and inflammation repair, anti-pollution, sun care, anti-aging products and color cosmetic products. It is considered safe and non-irritating, and appropriate for all skin types, including sensitive or dry skin like eczema.

Ection is water soluble and easily incorporated into the water phase of cosmetic formulations. It should be processed at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
Recommended Usage Rate: 0.1 - 2%
Appearance: White or white like powder or granule
Solubility: Highly soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol
